Pure mechanical simplicity is achieved with the Shimano Variable Brake System. Casting functions are simplified with the flush mounted QuickFire II clutch bar which naturally positions your thumb on the spool at all times.
Every reel in the Calcutta series provides a feeling of incomparable smoothness and pure precision thanks to the Calcutta's aluminium componentry and carefully placed bearings. Control is maximised and handle play is completely eliminated by the Super Stopper anti-reverse. Drag smoothness and reliability is enhanced by the use of molybdenum, which provides a low friction surface allowing the drag to start smoothly, and a titanium/cotton material which widens the drag pressure range.
CT50,150,151,250,251 The CT50, 150 and 151 are excellent tough-as-nails reels with a small profile for added comfort. The CT 250 and 251 offer the angler greater line capacity, the only difference is the CT 251 and CT 151 is for left-handers and is everything a southpaw could ask for. the ct 400,700 are not available in left hand models.
